Animal Lovers Club Programs

Unless you prefer to drop off a project, I drop all projects off to animal shelters. I always include a letter with the library and librarian’s name too! Finished projects are donated to: Babylon Animal Shelter, Chippy’s Angels, Nassau SPCA, North Fork Animal Shelter and Save-a-Pet , STAR Foundation, The Humane Society of NWGA, The Patricia Ladew Foundation, Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter + many more, depending on need/projects requested by the shelters.

All community service programs for teens In Nassau County are $375

Teens will create adorable bandanas that shelter pets can wear to adoption events! These bandanas will help to promote each animals’ adoption.

Teens will create adoption boards with pictures, stickers, scrapbook paper and other embellishments. Boards will be donated to shelters to help promote the adoption of long-time shelter animals!

We are partnering with the Babylon Animal Shelter for this program!

Teens will create cards + small canvas bags to donate to give to animal shelter staff/volunteers+ brighten their day.

Kits will also include much needed items like lip balm, snacks + more.

Teens will design frames to donate to the animal shelter. They will add adorable pics of kittens in these frames for new adopters!

Let’s create beautiful collages featuring beautiful, adoptable beagles!

These collages will be donated to Last Hope, Inc. an organization that helps them to find their forever homes. Art will be given out to new adopters.

Teens will work in groups to create special care packages for Veterinarians + Vet assistants.
The goal is to show appreciation for their hard work + dedication to animal care.

Let’s not forget about those adorable shelter cats! Teens will create at least 3 different toys for cats including pom pom toys, These will keep them busy while they wait for a fur-ever home.

Create a beautiful dog-themed collage featuring adoptable shelter dogs.

We will use special paper + stickers and canvas.

Let’s decorate tote bags with an dog theme for those fostering shelter animals! These bags will be filled with some much needed items for foster families.

Let’s create baskets + fill them with some much needed items for shelter pets.

Design beautiful frames with paint and other embellishments.

New adopters will add a favorite picture!

Create beautiful totes to be given out at adoption events. These heartwarming totes will be the perfect addition to their new furry family members.

Teens will create adorable bandanas that shelter dogs can wear in their going home photos!

Let’s create useful hanging hay ladders using craft tubes + hay.

These will help keep bunnies busy while they wait for a fur-ever home!

We will also create bunny-themed cards for adopters.

Let’s create a beautiful piece of art with a travel theme! We will include pics of adoptable shelter pets.

Teens will create a gorgeous animal-themed piece of art to donate to animal shelters.

Create a beautiful pouch for Paws of War.
These thoughtful pouches will be used at their fundraising events.

Create a beautiful patriotic-themed tote for a veteran that adopts from Paws of War!
This organization helps both ends of the leash.

We will create kits for your pet in the event of an emergency. The kit will be filled with most needed items for cats and dogs. This is also a great project to donate to your local animal shelter. When booking, please let me know if you want the kits to be for your teens to keep or as a shelter donation.

Teens will create kits for people and pets who have fallen on hard times.

Kits will be filled with some of the most needed items for cats and dogs.

Teens will also create special cards with well wishes.

These will be donated to people & pets in need.

Teens will work in teams to create banners, bags, cards + treat jars for pets that have been at the shelter for a longer time. We hope that this celebration will bring them luck!

We will create adorable treat jars using treat-themed washi tape, stickers, ribbon + tiny animals for the lid!

Next, Using special paper, vintage books & more, teens will create placemats for their pets, or for shelter animals.

We will also laminate them for a long lasting effect.

Using acrylic paint, teens will create unique pieces of pet-themed art onto wood slices to donate to animal shelters.

Create an adorable silhouette of either a cat or a dog using beautiful pressed flowers. We will then donate them to the animal shelter for new adopters.

Let’s not forget about those special senior shelter animals! Teens will create crafts which will promote the adoption of senior shelter animals.

The Patricia Ladew Foundation hosts a special senior prom for older cats.
During this class we will make royal placemats and special decor for their royal event!

The North Fork Animal Welfare League has a special program where pets get to spend time away from the shelter at a guest’s home!

We will create essential overnight totes with a nighttime theme for their special sleepovers.

We are partnering with the North Fork Animal Welfare League.

The shelter has a special program for vets who adopt shelter pets.

Teens will design dog-themed tote bags and add some important items for Vets.

Using Mod Podge and old time embellishments, teens will create a vintage collage on canvas featuring shelter pets.

Each picture will help to promote each animals’ adoption.

We will create beautiful works of art featuring watercolor pets on notecards. These will make a great gift to new adopters!

The focus of this program is to get teens involved in caring about Pitbulls.

We will discuss Breed Discrimination, and how teens can help to change the public’s view of Pitbulls. Teens will take part in a special shrinky dink art-themed project to bring positive exposure to these animals.

Take part in a unique way to showcase wildlife!

We will create beautiful pressed flower silhouettes featuring wild animals including owls, hawks and other native New York Animals.

These will be given to organizations that help wildlife.
